The net worth spreadsheet you’ve outgrown

Quantive is a net worth tracker that replaces the spreadsheet you keep across brokers, banks and 14 currencies. Import it or type in balances once a month. It never asks for your bank login.

The spreadsheet jobs Quantive takes over

Record each account, asset and liability once. Quantive rolls them into one net worth across sources and currencies, and the charts update as you add entries.

  • In a spreadsheet: Last year's balances converted at today's exchange rate.

    In Quantive: Each month valued at the exchange rate of its own date.

  • In a spreadsheet: One tab per year, held together by formulas.

    In Quantive: Your entries on one timeline, with the change month by month.

  • In a spreadsheet: A pie chart you rebuild every quarter.

    In Quantive: Allocation by liquidity and volatility, recalculated when you save.

  • In a spreadsheet: A growth rate you guessed once.

    In Quantive: A projection with a range drawn from your own history.Pro

  • In a spreadsheet: A year-end summary you assemble by hand.

    In Quantive: A one-page PDF report for you or your adviser.Pro

  • In a spreadsheet: A file on one laptop.

    In Quantive: The same dashboard in any browser, including your phone's.

Set up once, then update monthly

  1. Add your balances once

    Import your spreadsheet or type balances in. Your history comes with it, and the dashboard needs no configuring.

  2. Add an entry each month

    Type in your latest balances. Net worth, allocation and the forecast update when you save.

For people who keep their own records

Quantive suits you if

  • You hold accounts across several brokers, banks and currencies, and want one total across all of them.
  • You'd rather enter balances once a month than connect a bank to an aggregator.
  • You want a clean year-by-year record of your wealth, for yourself or an adviser.
  • You share finances with a partner and want one record you both update, with each personal portfolio kept private.
  • You've outgrown a hand-built spreadsheet but want to keep its history.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want automatic bank sync and transaction feeds.Quantive never connects to your bank, by design.
  • You're after a budgeting app to categorise spending.Quantive tracks wealth, not spending.
  • You want to run it on your own server.A self-hosted, open-source tracker will suit you better.
  • You need day-trading dashboards or live prices.

We store your net worth. We can’t read it.

Balances are encrypted in your browser with a key only you can unlock, so our servers only ever hold ciphertext. A portfolio you share on the Family plan can also be read by your partner, and no one else. The remaining trust is in the code we serve, which is why the cryptography is open source and the threat model is public. Quantive has no ads and sells no data, and every plan can export all of your data as CSV.

These bytes are real output of the app's encryption module, made with a throwaway key published here on purpose. The authenticated data binds the ciphertext to one account ID, so the same bytes fail to decrypt anywhere else. Decrypt them with libsodium:

import sodium from 'libsodium-wrappers-sumo';
await sodium.ready;
const hex = sodium.from_hex;
const key   = hex('da754ab01b7d04f8c9093c3fe7b2d7b0d4c2b2bf4c40802c4d5f5946f54942b0');
const nonce = hex('fda4b8b72870e21c1ebae4a0f26354ff45fd846168a2caa1');
// "nwa-snap-v1" ‖ 0x00 ‖ account id ‖ encryption version (u32, little-endian)
const aad = new Uint8Array([...sodium.from_string('nwa-snap-v1'), 0,
  ...hex('0d3e0d3e000040008000000000000001'), 1, 0, 0, 0]);
const ciphertext = hex('f490dbf7e73ec738862e4e1fb58884b17516d055055ce118512c4ff79d46d82b774f19e1f7a3984035029873f4ce1d09eefdfc9ff936f9e64bc6b2e4b726168ef23cc5023ddb98030975e91c97c66deb1312c4853270733dc7da95c279855ede9e02d17fa4ff8fabf2cbc16a900df9a04531');
sodium.to_string(sodium.crypto_aead_xchacha20poly1305_ietf_decrypt(

Every finance app I tried either wanted my bank login or wanted to monetise my data. I keep my own numbers, and I just wanted something simple: to see them charted properly and kept private.

Quantive is a net worth tracker for people who keep their own records across brokers, banks, pensions, property, crypto or anything else they hold. Import your spreadsheet or type in balances, and Quantive shows your net worth, allocation and forecast in one place. It never connects to your bank, and your data is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers.

Yes. Core features, including CSV export of all your data, are free forever with no credit card required. Pro is €9/month or €90/year and adds full history, CAGR forecasting, goals, benchmarks, a PDF report, and Excel export. Family is €14/month or €120/year: Pro for two people, plus portfolios you can share.

Budgeting apps connect to your bank to categorise transactions. Quantive does neither: it tracks net worth and wealth over time from balances you enter or import, with no bank links and end-to-end encryption, so your financial data stays private to you.

No. Quantive never connects to your bank accounts or requests login credentials. You enter balances manually from the dashboard, or import them from an existing spreadsheet.

Yes. Spreadsheet import is included in the free plan. Upload your existing spreadsheet and your historical balance data is preserved in Quantive.

Yes. Quantive is a web app and works in any mobile browser, so you can check your net worth on your phone. A native iOS and Android app is on the roadmap.

All data is encrypted on your device before it reaches Quantive's servers; the servers store only ciphertext, and only you hold the decryption key. A portfolio you share on the Family plan can also be read by your partner, and no one else. The remaining trust is in the code we serve, as with any encrypted web app; the security page documents the full threat model.

The cryptography is open source (MIT) and the rest of the code is source-available, so you can read exactly how your data is encrypted before you trust it. Quantive itself is hosted rather than self-hostable: we run the servers so there's nothing to maintain, and because your data is encrypted in your browser first, those servers only ever hold ciphertext. If your priority is keeping data entirely on your own machine or running your own server, a local-first open-source desktop tracker will suit you better. What Quantive offers instead is zero setup, cross-device access from any browser, and a server that still can't read your finances.

Quantive supports 14 display currencies (EUR, USD, GBP, NOK, SEK, DKK, CHF, CAD, AUD, JPY, PLN, BRL, INR, ZAR). You can hold assets in any of them and view your full portfolio in your preferred currency.

Pro adds your full history, forecasts at your own growth rate with a range drawn from how your history has varied, milestone and goal tracking, benchmark comparisons (S&P 500 and inflation; MSCI World is on the roadmap), a month-by-month summary table, a PDF report, and Excel export. Priority support is included.

Yes, on the Family plan. You each keep your own account and a private personal portfolio, and you can create up to five more portfolios and share any of them with your partner. A shared portfolio is end-to-end encrypted too: its key travels in an invite link you send your partner yourself, so Quantive can't read it. Your partner gets Pro for as long as the plan runs.

If you set one up, your 24-word recovery phrase (a BIP-39 mnemonic) lets you recover your encrypted data even if you forget your password. It is optional: Quantive offers it after your first sign-in, and you can create one at any time in Settings. Without it, a forgotten password means your encrypted data cannot be recovered.
